A Book Retelling My Spiritual Journey
The 1st day or the 7th?
In the New Testament, there are 8 texts that mentions the 1st Day of the Week. None of these speak of changing the Sabbath from the 7th to the 1st day of the week.
In the New Testament there were no issues on what day was the Sabbath. The Jews had issues with what things were done because of all of the laws that they made about the sabbath.
Let us Study.
- Matthew 28:1 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- Mark 16:1 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- Mark 16:9 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- Luke 24:1(Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- John 20:1 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- John 20:19 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- Acts: 20:7 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
- 1 Corinthians 16:1 (Nothing mentioned that changed the Sabbath)
Now out of the 8 texts, there is no mention of the Sabbath being changed to the 1st day of the week. So when was it changed to the 1st day of the week???
My journey to get back in church.
In my journey trying to become a better person, I now realize that God is very specific about what He says and does. You may ask, why did this guy study the videos, study the bible and print all of the things that all these ministers taught? My answer would be something like this!
- I was trying to justify or find a loop-hole in God’s word concerning the Sabbath.
- This will be an issue at the end of time who you will worship.
- I’ve never-ever heard a biblically base sermon in a 1st Day church about the correct day to worship. Just being honest.
